Next WHIH Council Meetings

On 21 October 2021 and 24 March 2022 the next meetings of the Council of the Warsaw Health Innovation Hub were held.
During the second WHIH Council meeting, with the participation of the following companies that joined the WHIH - Vamed, IQVIA, Merck and Takeda, the assumptions of the Government Biomedical Sector Development Plan for 2022 - 2030 were presented and the WHIH Work Plan for 2022 was discussed. An important part of the meeting agenda were presentations of all WHIH Partners regarding their research plans and activities within the Hub, as well as expectations related to the development of the Hub. The Partners also presented their experience in conducting R&D activities in Poland and their experiences in cooperation with academic and public institutions in the area of technology transfer and commercialization of research and implementation results.   

During the 3rd meeting of the WHIH Council, held on 24 March 2022, the already broad group of 20 members of the WHIH Council focused on the development prospects of the Hub, and in particular on opening to further stakeholders of the biomedical sector - academic and research institutions, start-ups and financial investors. During the meeting, the WHIH Council gave a positive opinion on the first projects submitted by Partners to be implemented within the WHIH:

  • "Application for the blind and visually impaired (AdNiN)" - submitted by Polpharma and Microsoft, in cooperation with the Polish Association of the Blind,
  • grant competition "Nephrohero - Race against the invisible enemy - how to detect chronic kidney disease earlier?" - submitted by Astra Zeneca and EIT Health.
