Inaugural meeting of the WHIH Mentoring Platform Program

On April 18, a meeting inaugurating the Warsaw Health Innovation Hub (WHIH) Mentoring Platform Program was held in Warsaw, attended by laureates and mentors. The meeting was opened by Mr. Rafał Staszewski, MD, PhD, Deputy President of the Medical Research Agency for Research Funding.

Inaugural lecture entitled “Industry and Academic Site. Needs, inspirations, cooperation” was delivered by Prof. Tomasz Grabowski from the Medical University of Gdańsk. The next stage of the meeting was a lecture and workshop session on the essence of mentoring and effective mentoring in practice.

The purpose of the mentoring program is to support academic research teams in developing the best development path for the proposed innovative solution. Support both in the business area and in the areas of technological, clinical and regulatory expertise will be provided by mentors of the first edition of the program - experts representing WHIH Partners.

 

Below is a list of 10 winning projects conducted by academic research teams that will take part in the first edition of the WHIH mentoring program:

  • 1 project from the Medical University of Gdańsk
  • 1 project from the Medical University of Lublin
  • 2 projects from the Medical University of Lodz
  • 1 project from the Medical University of Silesia
  • 1 project from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences
  • 1 project from the Medical University of Warsaw
  • 1 project from the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University
