MRA and USBC conference with the participation of American entrepreneurs from the pharmaceutical industry

On May 31, a Polish-American conference was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warsaw, organized by the US-Poland Business Council in cooperation with the Medical Research Agency. The conference was attended by representatives of the largest American companies from the pharmaceutical industry operating on the Polish market: Amgen, BD, Medtronic, MSD, Pfizer, Koch Industries and representatives of the Polish academia.

The aim of the conference was to present Poland as an attractive place to invest and doing business, as well as to discuss key challenges faced by American companies operating in Poland by representatives of the public and private parties. On behalf of the MRA, the conference was opened by Mr. Rafał Staszewski, MD, PhD, Deputy President for research funding. During the conference, MRA representatives presented activities undertaken by the Agency aimed at supporting the clinical trials sector and developing cooperation with commercial entities. In this context, the importance of the Warsaw Health Innovation Hub initiative was emphasized.

The conference was part of a larger economic mission of the largest American companies to Poland organized by the Polish-American Business Council, where, apart from the aforementioned pharmaceutical sector, companies from the following sectors were represented: defense and security, energy, construction, ICT, chemical and transport and logistics.
